HIRH Prince Gharios El Chemor of Ghassan Al-Numan VIII and Cristin Michele Beavers were married on April 8, 2023, in a ceremony combining the American heritage of the bride and the royal tradition of the groom. The event united the exiled prince with his princess and marked an incredible milestone for the Royal Family of Ghassan, the oldest Christian dynasty still active.

Prince Gharios is internationally recognized as the head of the eighteen-centuries-old Royal Dynasty of the Ghassanids. The Ghassanid kings were the most powerful Christian Arab rulers in the middle east. Until today, they are the Arab dynasty that ruled the largest territory during the longest period of time. The bloodline ruled in the Middle Eastern “Levant” (today’s Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, parts of Iraq and Saudi Arabia) from the third century until the eighteenth C.E. (Christian branch) and 1921 (Muslim branch). Since no longer reigning, the Royal house is today an international non-profit umbrella organization in Special Consultative Status with the United Nations and officially recognized by the government of the Lebanese Republic by the presidential decree number 5800/2019.

The prince was born in exile in Brazil and lives in the US since 2010. In 2021, he met the Virginia-born real estate agent and interior designer Cristin Beavers, a USC graduate. An “all-American woman” from a family proud to serve the country in the US Navy for several generations. For their first date, they enjoyed a romantic sunset on Santa Monica beach and the rest was history. Six months later, at the same beach, the prince got on one knee and proposed to her, recognizing her as his princess.

The couple celebrated their union with a magical intimate wedding ceremony surrounded by family and friends. The happiest day of their lives was filled with love, laughter, and royal protocol followed by Country line dancing. The perfect balance between formal and casual.

The newlyweds were overjoyed that they could start their journey of marriage on solid ground, creating a life full of joy and peace that will be shared with their families and friends around the world. They know this is only the beginning of many more exciting adventures ahead.

Their Imperial and Royal Highnesses Prince Gharios El Chemor and the now Princess Consort Cristin Al-Numan have found true happiness together as one united family. Their wedding was a celebration of their love and of the hope for a beautiful future full of possibilities.
