trufyx has announced a new and unique doorstep-phone-repair service for the New York greater area, allowing residents to have damaged devices fixed faster and easier.

Submitting a ticket through the trufyx website means customers can schedule a ‘fyx’ from anywhere. This will involve inputting specific details like the phone model, the type of repair needed, and the location of their choice.

A professional and certified technician will then meet the customer at the location, whether that’s at a family home, office, local coffee shop, or a small-town gym. As long as there are a table and chair a technician will be able to provide on-the-spot repair. Not even COVID-19 can stop trufyx from keeping people connected to their loved ones. Repairs can be carried out safely inside a technician’s car if the customers will choose so.

“Most repairs are done within 15-20 minutes,” CEO Jacob Rabi explains. “When you go to a store and have to leave your phone for a few hours, most of the time it’s just sitting on their desk, waiting in line.

“With trufyx, no lines and no parting from your phone. It’s just 20 minutes and done.”

The technicians at trufyx can repair all types of devices to working order, using only genuine parts. A common ‘fyx’ is an iPhone screen repair, but technicians can solve any type of issue that may arise with phones and tablets from Apple and Samsung.

Post-repair, should something unexpectedly go wrong within 90 days, trufyx will have a technician look at it again at no extra cost to the customer.

“What’s a fyx if we won’t stand behind it?” Jacob asserts. “A 90 day warranty for phone fixing is granted with every fyx.”

“This means if we replaced your battery, for example, but it’s faulty within 90 days – a technician will check and repair your device again, for free.”

Unsurprisingly, it was a particularly time-consuming in-store fix that proved to be the lightbulb moment for Jacob, which ultimately led to trufyx opening its virtual doors in April 2020.

“It was a nightmare,” he described. “My phone company sent me to the insurance company, the insurance company sent me to their service provider, the service provider sent me to three separate locations to check if they have the screen I needed.

“When I finally got to the right place I had to leave my phone for FIVE hours and just wait around. That was the moment I said: what if a technician could just come to me?

“And trufyx was born”.

With its first birthday fast approaching, Jacob would like to expand trufyx to cover more cities in the future. Taking on more business clients is another objective, with companies already using trufyx exclusively for phone and tablet repair.
