Since its appearance on the mainstream, NFTs have been adapted and used to promote a wide range of causes from fighting deforestation to saving animals from extinction. Now, the power of the blockchain and, most especially, NFTs is being used to help children get much needed and timely liver transplant. This initiative which is spearheaded by the Fight For Life Club in collaboration with World Boxing Council (WBC) will ensure that Fatima a Mexican girl in need of liver transplant gets the resources she needs for such operation.

Fight For Life Club is a nonprofit organization whose major aim is to offer financial help to low income persons without the ability to afford medical for their liver transplant surgery. In line with this vision, the organization alongside WBC is releasing an exclusive set of NFTs to help 2-year-old Fatima, its first patient, get a life-saving liver transplant. All proceeds from the sale of the NFTs will go towards funding Fatima’s surgery and WBC programs. 

This move is coming on the heels of a viral awareness campaign for Fatima that saw celebrities like Paola Rojas, Joaquin Lopez-Doriga, and Fernanda Familiar pitching in. it is also noteworthy that a team of healthcare experts and surgeons from Intermountain Medical Center Liver Clinic have volunteered their time and talent to support a Mexican medical team during Fatima’s complex living donor transplant. About Fight For Life Club 

Fight For Life Club is the brainchild of Jose Manuel Cadena who himself needed a liver transplant to save his life in 2020. During Manuel’s search for a cure, he had encountered people who sorely needed liver transplant surgeries but didn’t have proper diagnostic, medical treatment or financial resources to save their lives. His successful surgery filled him with the desire to help as many who are not as fortunate as him. Fight For Life Club was born in October 2021 to actualize this dream.

Fight For Life Club helps patients with end stage organ failure with liver, kidney or pancreas transplants in the following ways:
